The Zone is beginning to pick up momentum in Japan. Dr. Sears was recently in Japan, where he gave a number of lectures and observed the progress of Zone Japan. His visit began with a stop at the flagship Zone Restaurant in Tokyo. The Zone Restaurant has the ambience of the finest restaurants in New York City, and Dr. Sears was served an elegant five-course meal with each serving perfectly Zoned. The restaurant’s style is French-Asian fusion, and the head chef is considered the finest French chef in Tokyo. Later in his visit, Dr. Sears had the opportunity to meet the new Zone Ambassador for Japan, Asami Ishikawa, (pictured here with Dr. Sears) a well-known actress and model, who started on the Careu Dietafter her first child and lost 11 kilos.
Finishing off his visit, Dr. Sears was given a farewell dinner at a restaurant overlooking the national No Theater featuring the famous Japanese dish of fugu (the poisonous fish that has to be prepared with great precision). Showing no fear before his first taste of fugu, his Japanese hosts could only say, “Dr. Sears is incredibly brave.”
